In response to the growing concerns surrounding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in generating academic content, EIU – Paris has integrated AI content detection technology into our plagiarism checker to identify and manage assignments that may have been written or significantly influenced by AI.
An assignment is classified as AI-generated if it has been primarily composed or substantially influenced by an AI program, tool, or algorithm, with minimal input or oversight from the student.
To maintain academic integrity, the university has established a tolerance level of up to 25% for AI-generated content within assignments. Should the AI content exceed this threshold, students will be required to resubmit the assignment, accompanied by a resubmission fee.
This policy is effective immediately and aligns with our commitment to upholding the principles of academic honesty, integrity, and intellectual rigor. Through this measure, we aim to safeguard the value and credibility of the degrees conferred by our university.
