European International University appoints International Knowledge Partner in Bangladesh
October 13, 2018
In yet another historical development for the European International University (EIU) – Paris, comes the appointment of Academy of Learning Ltd. (AOL) as its Country-Specific Local Partner in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is indeed an honor for EIU to forge such international knowledge partnership to advance innovative and progressive vocational training, professional certification, as well as higher education courses and programmes in one of the most fast emerging economies in the South Asian region. It is said that Bangladesh is a frontier market, and according to the IMF, the financial sector of Bangladesh is the second largest in the subcontinent.
It is no secret that Bangladesh as a country is helping its university students and professionals to compete in global knowledge economy. A few World Bank supported initiatives such as The Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP), Make-a-Thon 2016, and many others, serve as evidence of the fact that the country is interested in strengthening its higher education and vocational training sectors.
It is against these exciting and promising economic and education development scenarios that EIU and AOL entered into a partnership agreement to allocate resources, energy and expertise in joining hands with the country and its leaders to provide unique opportunities for personal and professional development for various segments of its ever-expanding knowledge society.
Dr. Edward Roy Krishnan, the President of EIU-Paris and Mr. Sayed Hamza Alamgir, the Director of AOL-Dhaka, signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), witnessed by Mr. Mohammad Mokammel Hossain Akand, the CFO & Operation In-Charge, as well as Mr. Mohammed Alamgir Kabir, the Chief Strategy Officer & HoA of AOL-Dhaka, in the presence of several other AOL administrators, faculty and staff.
Both EIU and AOL are committed to empowering the citizens of Bangladesh through promotion and execution of innovative higher education and industry-specific vocational training experiences.
